Jake Gittes in Chinatown

Chinatown Roman Polanski Jack Nicholson drawing
But, Mrs. Mulwray, I goddamn near lost my nose. And I like it. I like breathing through it. And I still think you're hiding something.

So I'm still stuck in the seventies here on Sunday Dog Parade, and here's Jack Nicholson as Jake Gittes in Chinatown. Which is absolutely fantastic if you're in the mood for a cynical slice of LA Noir/grown up version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I've been posting a fair bit of old Jack lately (previous attempts here and here) and I still haven't gotten my fix. I may have to introduce a self-imposed rationing system like I did with Bill Murray...

Anyway, plenty more seventies cinema inspired illustration to come next week.
