It's easy to forget how fantastic Columbo is. It's repeated endlessly as a schedule filler on digital television channels in the middle of the day and every episode follows the same basic structure: celebrity guest plans perfect murder, carries out said murder, Columbo turns up and seems woefully inept and unable to solve the case, Columbo annoys the murderer, Columbo turns out to be a genius and solves the case. But watching it all take place is so much fun - mainly because the celebrity murderers are amazing (Leonard Nemoy, Johnny Cash, Billy Connolly, etc.) and Peter Falk absolutely kills it.
Also it's perfect hangover TV - which is something I'm in need of fairly regularly.
There he is above.
