Big Face

Big Face

Sometime towards the end of last year, when I was living on the floor of my brother's one person studio flat with no money and no job, I decided to sit down and draw this face as a nice relaxing exercise that would be fun and wouldn't take too long. And it was and it didn't. Then a couple of months ago, now having a bed and a job and enough money to buy a bag of Kettle Chips once a month as a treat, I decided to colour it digitally - which again would be fun and wouldn't take too long. Except it wasn't and it took a thousand years. But here it is regardless, as well as the original black & white drawing below.

As always happens when I spend a thousand years colouring something, the black & white version looks just as good as (if not better than) the coloured version. But you know what they say - "Life will take any opportunity to kick you in the teeth repeatedly until you haven't got any left."
